{Current favorites} On my book list

I haven't been reading as much as I used to and lately been longing to get lost in a great read. I have some books I thought about as vacation reads but I might order them in sooner, why wait right?

The reason why I haven't been reading as much is mostly the poor availability of books in english in the Netherlands, especially in Maastricht. I got spoiled in London with a huge selection of paperbacks and great offers in the surrounding bookstores as well as through amazon. Also, as I have been riding the bike everywhere there hasn't really been a time for reading in the same way as when you commute with public transport.

A friend was asking me recently what was the last book I read since I've been reading a bit on and off and that got me thinking of some books I've been wanted to read for some time now. The last book I was reading was Gone Girl and I also really liked the movie. At the moment I'm either looking to read "hyped" books, a series (I have not read neither twilight nor game of thrones) or ticking of some books I've been wanting to read for sometime off my list.

Life after Life by Kate Atkinson
I first saw this book over a year ago and then a bit later bought it. I started reading it but never got really into it although I really wanted to. Now I'm giving it a second go and plan to ready bit every night before going to sleep.

What remains, A memoir of fate, friendship & love by Carole Radziwill
This book I planned for my beach read already last year so its about time I ordered it. The author is not only a cast member on The Real Housewives of New York City (did I mention I am a reality tv junkie) but interestingly was also married to the nephew of President Kennedy before he passed.

Not That Kind of Girl by Lena Dunham
I'm a little bit on the fence when it comes to the show Girls, created by the same author but at the end of the day a few pieces of advice never hurts anybody.

Someday, Someday, Maybe by Lauren Graham
This book list is getting somewhat tv series based (the author being actress and the leading lady in my favorite show Gilmore girls). I really liked the theme of this one, a girl in her twenties moving to New York and gives herself a deadline by which she should have made it.
